Mast Head- The mast head is the 'main title' of the magazine so, for example 'Vouge' or 'Hello' are the mast head of their magazine. The mast head is larger than any of the other texts on the cover, so that it catches attention to the applied audience and will normally be a bright colour.
Photo- On every magazine there is a cover photo. The photo can be of a famous person who supports the magazine or there is an article about them in the magazine. If the magazine is genre is equine or cars, then the photo on the cover will be a Horse or a certain car. However sometimes the main photo can either be on the cover or on the context page on the inside of the cover.
Bar code- The bar code is always on the front cover, and normally will have how much the magazine costs, issue number, and the date of when it was published.
Fonts- Usually the fonts used will vary from 3-4 different types, but some magazines still use one type of font. The colour always varies, most magazines will keep to a certain colour scheme, using mostly bright or vibrant colours to catch the readers attention. Most magazine companies will use colours on different ends of the spectrum so that they don't cancel each other out.
Text- The main focus of the text is generally a lot smaller than the mast head. Also the other texts will have certain keywords to captivate the readers such as 'exclusive'.
