OCR Preliminary Task

Preliminary exercise: Continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180-degree rule.

Actor- Chloe (Pink polo shirt, Black shorts. Trainers)
Mise en scene - Ipad, Mobile Phones
Location- B118 and corridor outside Common room. Staircase two (By second entrance near K building)

Spy Mission (Idea 1)

Script

Chloe- Agent004

Mary- Agent003

Alone in a room Chloe is sitting at desk on Ipad, to anyone she looks like a normal college student. But to certain people she is part of a secret agency. Chloe or Agent 004 as she is known looks around suspiciously before sending a text to Mary, a fellow Agent 003. Camera is on mid shot, capturing the actor sitting at the desk with the Ipad in front of them.

Mary/Agent 003 gets the text and the camera zooms into Extreme close up of the phone.

Mary/Agent 003 looks around, before running off down the empty corridor and slams though a door. The door slowly slams behind her, the mission impossible music cuts in, and a long shot/ over the shoulder of the actor running. Then a close up of the door slamming behind actor.

Mary/Agent 003 runs down a set of stairs before glancing around, she then finds the room and attempts to cartwill, but fails, into the open door, and into the room she glances around and spots Chloe before standing up straighter and dusts herself off before crossing the room to sit in font of Chloe/Agent 004 who glances up at her fellow Agent.

(singsong voice)

 "I'm hereeeeee" 

(exaggerate on the here)


Maddie/Agent 004

(Shushes Mary) 

“Quiet, you'll blow our cover” 

(Annoyed tone)

Mary/Agent 003

"Ahhh" 

(Taps nose and winks)


Maddie/Agent 004

(Rolls her eyes before leaning across the table)

 “Well you're hear now so listen. Everything about us and this mission is not this device. Guard it with your life 003.” 

(Serious tone)


(Agent 004  slips Ipad across to Agent 003)

Mary/Agent 003

“Don't worry you can trust me”

 (winks, and goes to stand but stumbles and drops the device. Looks up with a sheepish smile)


Maddie/Agent 004 

(sighs)

 “It's going to be long mission”
